Questions I Get All the Time — Plus a Few You Should Be Asking

Lessons are done in Dallas, Texas and New York City, New York. I also make visits to cities like Chicago.

Remote coaching isn’t just something I offer — it’s a core part of what I do.

The systems I’ve built make remote coaching not just possible, but essential to how I coach. It’s delivered through a variety of coaching modalities designed to give you structure, feedback, and accountability no matter where you are.

I help golfers who are stuck in the 90s implement systems to break 80.

I work with a variety of skill-level golfers — except PGA Tour players. I don’t work with PGA Tour players because that’s a completely different business model. It requires a lot of travel, being at tournaments, and it would eliminate my ability to work with non–PGA Tour clients due to my already heavy travel schedule.

My systems are built on layering, which makes them appropriate for golfers who haven’t yet broken 100 all the way through to tour-level players. If you’re a break-100 golfer, I highly recommend starting with my Ball Striking Launchpad system.

My process is very different from what most people think of as a normal golf lesson. The first session isn’t just a lesson — it’s the beginning of a structured, multi-phase system I call the Player Activation Protocol.

In a typical 60-minute lesson, the first 20–25 minutes are spent gathering information, reviewing your history, discussing challenges and injuries, and warming up. By the time analysis is done, the session’s almost over — and you haven’t even started making changes.

In the Player Activation Protocol, everything that normally eats up lesson time — admin work, background info, prep — is handled beforehand. So when we begin, we’re ready to get to work. It’s focused. It’s efficient. It gets results.

The typical “bill for time” model doesn’t align interests. It’s like working with an attorney who schedules a call, asks for your background info live, and bills for every minute. I don’t do that. I give you a clear process to handle all of that up front — for free — so your session time is used for what matters.

The Player Activation Protocol includes four structured steps:

  • Step 1: Pre-Accelerator Call

  • Step 2: Pre-Accelerator Training

  • Step 3: Accelerator Session

  • Step 4: Post-Accelerator Reinforcement

An Accelerator Session is a live coaching session with me. It’s where real-time implementation happens. It’s the fuel on the fire.

The Pre-Accelerator Call is a facilitated call with a member of my team designed to gather everything I would normally need to ask you during a session — but without taking time away from the actual coaching. Instead of spending the first 20 minutes of our time together collecting background info, past lesson history, struggles, and goals, this call handles all of that ahead of time.

This allows your Accelerator Session to be entirely focused on coaching — not admin. Think of it as completing the intake portion outside of the paid session, so every minute we spend together is maximized for progress.

The Pre-Accelerator Training is a 75-minute video training you complete before we work together. It walks you through the foundational concepts that drive everything I teach — including what I call the Ball Striking Core-4 and a TrackMan-data deep dive.

This is material that was previously taught during a live session. Now, we’re able to go into more detail and cover it ahead of time — outside of the session — so that when you step into your Accelerator Session, we’re already speaking the same language and can get straight to work.

The Accelerator Session is the main live coaching session with me. It’s where we implement. Because you’ve already completed the Pre-Accelerator Call and Training, we’re ready to get to work right away.

The session includes:

  • Pre-Accelerator Warm-Up (15 minutes): You’ll complete a structured warm-up in the TrackMan simulator. This isn’t just hitting balls — I’ll often assign specific tasks so we can gather additional data before we begin.

  • Accelerator Coaching (30 minutes): This is the live one-on-one session with me. You’re fully prepared, I’m fully prepared, and we make every minute count.

  • Post-Accelerator Reinforcement (15 minutes): Immediately after the session, you return to the TrackMan simulator to reinforce what we covered. This is a critical opportunity to solidify changes while everything is fresh.

You’ll receive the full video replay of your Accelerator Session, along with TL;DR bullet-point takeaways. These act as a quick-reference cheat sheet — perfect for when you’re at the range or don’t have time to rewatch the full session.

The Player Activation Protocol spans just over 2.5 hours and is completed in structured phases — not all at once, and not all on the same day. Each phase is designed to streamline the process, save time during live coaching, and deliver maximum value.

  • Pre-Accelerator Call: 20–25 minutes (scheduled ahead of time)

  • Pre-Accelerator Training: 75-minute video training (completed on your own schedule)

  • Accelerator Session: 60 minutes total

    • 15-minute guided warm-up

    • 30-minute live coaching with Mike

    • 15-minute post-session reinforcement

  • Post-Session Reinforcement Package: Delivered after the session — includes a full video replay and TL;DR bullet-point summary for quick reference.

The Player Activation Protocol — which includes the Pre-Accelerator Call, Pre-Accelerator Training, Accelerator Session, and Post-Accelerator Reinforcement — is $500 total.

After the Player Activation Protocol, we transition into building your system using modular coaching components. These include live coaching, remote coaching, masterclasses, workshops, and implementation support — all selected based on your specific priorities.

The system is adaptable. For example, if chipping becomes a priority, we can swap a Putting Masterclass for a Chipping Masterclass. These aren’t random lessons — they’re structured modules plugged into a larger system with clear progression.

Coaching programs range from $2,500 to $100,000 depending on the level of access and support.

The short answer is yes… but you’re better off not doing that.

When you book a one-hour session, you’re doing everything with me — not just the coaching. That includes intake, warm-up, catching up, and figuring out where things stand — and you’re paying for all of it.

Think of it like working with an attorney who bills you for every minute — including all the admin questions. In my system, that work is handled before we even begin. So when we’re in the Accelerator Session, it’s focused time — and that’s what you’re paying for.

When you skip that process and go straight into an hourly session, it makes the session less efficient — and more expensive.

My rate is $500 per hour.

About

I used to pound balls for hours, thinking I was making progress, only to feel like I was sinking deeper into a pit of frustration. What was the game-changer? Learning the right way to practice and zoning in on the real essentials. Once that clicked, everything else fell into place.

What are people saying?

In just 4 months I’ve went from a 3.6 to a +.5 with commitment to the lessons and practice! My misses and mistakes have gotten so much better as well.

Mike’s effectiveness in communication breaking down the game /technique to your skill level is rare. My biggest fear with a swing coach was them being too aggressive and changing everything to fit their template golf swing.

I started working with Mike a year and a half ago. I was a 40 handicap and now am under 20. I had gone through 3+ coaches that I didn’t love until I met Mike. His data-driven approach to instruction is unique and refreshing.

The Process: Player Activation Protocol

Step 1: Pre-Accelerator Call

A facilitated call with one of my team members to collect everything we’d normally have to cover in a session — game history, goals, struggles, swing videos, and more — so we’re fully prepared before we start.

Step 2: Pre-Accelerator Training

You’ll complete a 75-minute video training that walks through the Core Four and TrackMan data foundations — giving you the context most golfers never get, so we can move fast once you’re in the session.

Step 3: Accelerator Session

This 60-minute session includes a 15-minute TrackMan warm-up, 30 minutes of focused coaching with Mike, and a 15-minute reinforcement period to lock in the changes while they’re fresh.
